Victory to the Resistance

The crimes of the Zionist state are known to us all - murder, starvation, kidnap and genocide. Faced with this, we naturally fall into despair and lament that which has been lost. Instead though, we should find strength through the steadfastness of Gaza, and the unbowed courage of the Palestinian people in the face of annihilation. Strength that has been cultivated sine 1948, sharpened through the Intifada and honed into the most honourable quality humanity is currently displaying.

As the martyr Basil Al-Araj stated: ‘in the face of an enemy capable of annihilation, one must refuse to be easily annihilated’. As the Zionist State again undermined peace talks in Cairo this week, the resistance made no concessions on the minimum demands of evacuation of the genocidal occupation forces from Gaza and the release of all Palestinian prisoners including political leaders Ahmed Sa’dat and Marwan Barghouti. The resistance knows its righteousness and strength, and that they are set to overcome the destruction and carnage by the Zionist entity, and ultimately win. Through unified thought, word and deed, and through exceptional skill and bravery, the Palestinian resistance has turned Gaza into this century’s Stalingrad. The fascist and coward Zionist occupation forces are facing defeat around every corner, down every alleyway and from every roof top. The resistance claims over 1,000 military vehicles among its victories: each one over 3 million dollars in cost, partly funded by the taxes of ordinary working people in Western countries who oppose the crimes of the Zionist state. Such victories are not restricted to one city or one area - the resistance wins in Khan Younis in South Gaza, in Al-Zeitoun in North Gaza; the resistance is still striking and reclaiming the right of the Palestinians to return to the occupied lands from which they were expelled 76 years ago.

This strength extends to the West Bank, where the resistance confronts with steadfastness and determination every incursion, every kidnap attempt and every war crimes. On 8th March alone, nine separate resistance operations targeted illegal apartheid checkpoints.  Outside Palestine this inspiration rings true. In the north, every day we see losses among the Zionist military, with two incursion attempts thrown back by the Lebanese resistance this week alone. In the south, Yemen continues the heroic stand against the Genocide enforcing a bloodless boycott of the genocidal state.

This strength extends internationally into the fields of law and politics. We have seen South Africa courageously challenge the Zionist regime in court. In Australia prime minister Albanase was named as an accomplice to war crimes. Bolivia and Brazil have expelled zionist ambassadors, following the long-established lead of Cuba. In this country the peace vote won in Rochdale, and the enemies of freedom and human rights know full well and fear that the tide is turning in favour of the liberation of Palestine.

Throughout the decades, the struggle has not changed, but the expiry date on imperialism and the Zionist state grows ever closer . The image of the Intifadas is of that a brave child refusing to be annihilated and facing a tank with a stone in hand. Today we have a new image , that same child has now grown into a brave Fidai’i , and that same tank is burning in Khan Younis. History moves only forward and it is on the side of justice and freedom for the Palestinians. Glory to the Martyrs, Victory to the Resistance, Long Live Palestine.
